SAINT-SERVAIS [2de prijs]

Voortvloeiend uit een co-creatieproces met de bewoners. Het gebouw heeft een gemengde functie en herbergt woningen, kantoren en een grote ruimte gewijd aan gedeelde gemeenschapsruimtes (tuin, gemeenschappelijke keuken, gedeelde gastenkamer, enz.).
Het gebouw staat op een perceel dat afgelegen is van de rijkelijk beplante straat. Op de benedenverdieping wisselen grote glazen oppervlakken en bakstenen muren elkaar af om te spelen met perspectief en de ruimte visueel te vergroten. Hier bevinden zich voornamelijk de bedrijfsruimten en gemeenschappelijke ruimten, die zicht hebben op de gemeenschappelijke tuin. De woningen bestaan uit CLT (crossed laminated timber) en bevinden zich op 2 verdiepingen. Een openluchtdoorgang aan de oostkant verdeelt de toegang en biedt uitzicht op de omgeving zodat de gebruikers genieten van een wijds uitzicht en ideale zonneschijn en het gebouw uitstekende energieprestaties behaalt. Het terras van de woningen bevindt zich op het platte dak en biedt een panoramisch zicht op de stad. Alle woningen hebben niet alleen hun eigen privéruimten (keuken, slaapkamers, woonkamer, dakterras en balkon), maar genieten ook van de gemeenschapsruimten die op talrijke manieren kunnen worden gebruikt en die de interactie binnen de gegroepeerde leefomgeving bevordert. Het evenwicht tussen de privéwoning en de gemeenschappelijke ruimten wordt gerespecteerd en de link tussen beide is duidelijk. Doordat de appartementen zich op de bovenste verdiepingen bevinden, kunnen de functies duidelijk worden onderscheiden. Vandaag de dag is het belangrijk om opnieuw na te denken over de manier waarop we (in de stad) leven. Het idee is om een kleinere individuele woning te hebben door te compenseren met gedeelde ruimtes. Dit geeft je niet alleen de vrijheid om te kiezen of je meer ruimte wilt of niet, om te besparen op het feit dat deze ruimten, die minder vaak worden gebruikt, kosten met zich meebrengen die worden gedragen door meerdere mede-eigenaren, maar ook - en dit is zeker het belangrijkste - om banden te smeden, interactie te stimuleren, een plek te creëren die uitwisselingen, wederzijdse hulp en delen aanmoedigt.

  • Gebruik van hout Het grootste deel van de structuur is gemaakt van CLT, met hout uit Duitsland. Bovendien kan CLT worden gebruikt om het interieur van de woningen af te werken, waardoor niet nogmaals nieuwe materialen moeten worden gebruikt. De woningen zijn allemaal bekleed met gebrand hout. Deze natuurlijke behandeling beschermt het hout zonder dat een beschermlaag moet worden aangebracht.
